So curious to hear how you like it. I want one for practical purposes, but I think I'll miss actual real-life books!

I love it already.  The very first book I downloaded was a cookbook (shut up :P).  I have a binder I keep of all the recipes I've copied out of my cook books because I mark them up, change them, edit them etc.  With this book I can highlight, annotate, save clippings which I can then download to my computer, and search.  All the notes I've made are right there when I look at a recipe and the clippings live in a separate place off the main menu.  You can also search or add your own bookmarks, so you can load a book and then select a bookmark.

It's light weight, but not too light.  It has a very nice weight in my hands.  Somewhere about the weight of a paperback.  It's very easy to hold and just as easy on the eyes as it claims  The typing is a little awkward, but the keys are actually quite nice.  The navigation is pretty straight forward.  I'll update once I've had it more than an hour, but so far I can't imagine that I ever thought "oh I don't really NEED that."  I totally do.  Just for cook books alone.  We'll move on to the fiction later tonight.  ;)

Sippey read Infinite Jest on it and said that it was AWESOME for footnotes. Question: Does it have a built-in dictionary?

I'm so tempted... But I love love love my books. How else would guests judge me?!!!

Arie

Yep, has a built in dictionary.  It uses the New Oxford American Dictionary.  If you need to look up a word you just use the directional thinger to move the cursor to the word and it automatically pops up the definition in a little one line box at the bottom, if you want to read the rest, you just click more.  It's very unobtrusive, but very easy to read when you need/want it.  The cursor isn't there until you use the directional button to start moving around, otherwise it looks just like a book page.
